Glass Seal Instead of Plastic Seal, Laser Welding Instead of Crimping

Compare with conventional plastic seal on lithium ion battery, glass seal is real hermetic seal at ultra low moisture vapor transmission rate, very low helium leak rate, high
insulation resistance, high sealing strength, wide operating temperature range and no ageing effect which ensure MBT battery is reliable and durable. By using laser welding
battery can to cover, the inner space of battery can be more efficiently used to provide higher volume energy density.

Non HF Corrosive Glass

To apply Glass seal technology onto lithium ion battery, MBT have selected special non HF corrosive glass for the harsh environment inside battery. The special
glass also with high resistance to anode reduction, cathode oxidation, Li corrosion, with CTE matched with special stainless steel to ensure it can work under wide
operating temperature range.
 
 

High Energy Density

Through ultra thin battery cover and laser welding, MBT can fully use the internal space including height and radius direction of battery then improve the volume energy density
